Eugene and Allen were brothers, born in or around Athens, GA. Their father, name still unknown, was probably born on the eve of the Civil War. This family has become one of the larger African-American families in the US, but like most of them, is very poorly documented. Thus the family tree as presented is still incomplete.

There is an unlinked branch that can be traced back to Henry & Ida Furr Parrott. It is not clear if these Parrotts are of the same family.

A native of Cherokee County, she was the wife of Randolph Parrott Sr. and daughter of the late Ada Stewart. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church whre she was an usher for many years.

Also surviving are eight daughters, Rosa Rose of Upper Marlboro, Md., Karen Bonner of Lanham, Md., Robbie Lee of Lawndale, N.C., Deborah Howell, Staria Littlejohn, Mary Ross, and Cheryl Parrott, all of Shelby, and Minnie Pearl Rudasill of the home; four sons, Randolph Parrott Jr. of Kings Mountain, Stacey Prrott, Wayne Parrott and Harold Parrott of the home; one brother, John Norris of Shelby; 27 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchilren.

Services will at 3 p.m. today at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. S.A. Raper officiating. Burial will be at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends at the church today from 2-3 p.m. Enloe Mortuary is in charge.

Minnie was formerly employed with the Fair and traveled extensively with it. She took up residence Washington, DC after traveling with the Fair and was employed with Montgomery Ward in Landover Hills, MD. While there, she reconnected with her childhood sweetheart, Gene and married him. She relocated back to Shelby in 1978.

Minnie was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was a very generous person who enjoyed meeting people, having fun and she loved to dance. She was known for her big smile. She loved her family and enjoyed doting on her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Gene Rudisill; three brothers, Stacey Parrot, Wayne Parrott and Harold "Bo" Parrott and a godsister, Beatrice Barber.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters and brother, Rosa Parrott Rose of Upper Marlboro, MD, Robbie J. Parrott Lee, Deborah Ann Parrott Howell (Calvin), Randolph Parrott (Melissa), Staria P. Littlejohn (Jimmy), Mary P. Ross (Charles) all of Shelby, Cheryl P. Hopper (Patrick) of Cherryville, NC and Karen E. Parrott Bonner (Pastor W. Scott) of Lanham, MD; two nieces who were like sisters, Yvette Haley of Upper Marlboro, MD and Lorraine Propst of Shelby; one aunt, Willie Mae Norris of Shelby; good friends, Daisey Crosby and A. J. Cunningham; godsister, Christine Ashe and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
